    7.0 combat should go back to the shb recipe - burst rotations aren't enjoyable

    Many forum posts about X class needs Y or Z sucks about X class.

    The real problem behind why so many classes feel yucky is simply because of the forced rotation line introduced in 6.0

    Furthermore, its feels gross because most instances still feel like they're designed with the old format in mind.

    5.x was the bees knees when it came to combat. Devs, please go back to that formula, coz this one ain't it.

    all 6.x does is introduce DISGUSTING skill drift.


    also, make bunshin 120 seconds.

    I agree.
    It is annoying to have the same burst window for everyone. And then this window being interrupted by a intentional Boss mechanic at exactly that point in the fight.
    Therefore everyone has to disrupt their flow of play to adjust their rotation to the changed burst window.

    It just does not feel good.

    Exactly, like when Barb does the knockback with the stackup AOE that is immediately followed by her tether rushes. It just so happens everyone's two minute window comes up just as the knockback is about to go off, so apparently we're all supposed to be facerolling our keyboards while moving back to our spread locations and dodging line aoes at the same time. Or that other time when we're dancing around hair tether mechanics, possibly leaving other DPS out of DNC and BRD buff range on top of facerolling our keyboards.

    I would prefer SB over ShB but yes I totally agree that forced rigid 2 minute burst rotations make most of the jobs feel much worse than their older versions

    I'm in this camp.
    4.0 blew 5.0 away for so many jobs... AST, SCH, BRD, SAM, NIN, WAR. maybe more. ALL better in 4.0 than they ever have been.

    when i mained SAM back in stormblood - i thought, theres no way they can make this class feel any better....but after the shoha changes in 5.1, holy hell did they deliver what was essentially the MOST SMOOTHEST job class I've ever touched.


    Up until 6.0, i would lvl all classes to max, but now...I have zero motivation to do so.

    its either boring(DRK) or just ruins jobs (PLD/NIN) .
    It also just feels backwards when they wanted to move away from "Meta comps" but now jobs with insane 2 minutes are in favor compared to others
