Wish I knew...lol I always play summoner classes in games so I am planning on making this my main (Until Dancer comes out..if ever.)

I am hoping we get avatars...like the little cute ones low level (Carbuncle, Cait Sith, Sylph, Cactaur, Tonberry) and of course some avatars for high level..like Phoenix, Ixion, Lich, Salamader, Hades..IDK. I just really hope this time we get Phoenix. Also very curious to know what kind of role will summoner play. I am hoping for DD and dot heavy..kind of like Aion's Spiritmaster.

Bahamut is FF's most popular and one of the most powerful Summons, no way it will be a Summoner pet. It will probably not even going to be in game come 2.0. They will probably introduce him later in a expansion and i wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't summonable primal either.

Ya but you also stated why Summon should have it. Every single FF that had Summoner that summoner had Bahamut! It should be powerful. And you know what 11 was the only 1 that didnt. So Summoner should have it. Should it be handed to Summoner? no way in hell i would say give it a quest harder than the Damn Relics to obtain bahamut! That way only people who put that effort will get the most powerful primal.

Considering Phoenix is resurrection and was extremely overpowered in FFIX, I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up as a Primal rather than lesser, since so far the primals are gods of their particular element and worshiped...a primal of life would definitely be one to be worshiped lol.

Since as we see people complain about having to do leg work, so in order to get Phoenix's AoE raise on wipe you'd have to collect Pinnions and we know how ell that'll go down with the community, even if it's helpful ; ;

I dont like this. Ifrit, shiva etc. these are avatars i want to call. Im not happy with how they are treating them. SMN is my fav job and i am not happy. But i will wait to see what they are doing we have little info on it so im not gonna hate to much but what i have heard i do not like.

A summoner without a summon is just not what FF fans are used to.

In fact, this new summon system feels more FF-ish to me than the FFXI pet job that summoner was.
