    About the Beastmaster

So I've had some ideas before for a new Casting and Scouting jobs, which I think are the next roles to be filled up, as well as some side ideas for the far future for healers, tanks, and some other jobs. But I've had some discussions with friends and I've been thinking on Beastmaster.

While yes, it's heavily wanted as a pet job for combat, I think it could serve a much different, and perhaps more fun role. I'm sure a lot of people will be vocal about this, or even say it's pointless to add it, or that they'd prefer the pet system, but, here's what I've been thinking:

So gathering hasn't been touched in a while. And it only has three jobs. What about the Beastmaster as a Limited Gathering Job, that focuses on monster loot? With mechanics such as having to approach the enemy mobs, plan out traps, and tranquilizers, in a similar fashion to what island sanctuary does, but a little more involved, with a bit more meat and potatoes on its rotation, just like the gathering jobs are to island sanctuary's gathering. Something more complex, more involved.

I could see a world where we have to do a bit of monster hunting through special actions, and once the mob is down, we get its materials safely. And if the mob is at the same or higher stats than we meet, it's less likely we salvage its materials or we get less. I think it could be worth exploring the idea.

EDIT: I did use the word "limited" a bit prematurely, I will say. It just being a gathering job that focuses on hunting and neutralizing prey is more what it would look like.

Also, I feel that since the devs are moving away from pet hotbats as a whole, I feel, (Given the fairies and carbuncle nearly never use it anymore) another pet job at this point would make less sense than something like that. But I understand the sentiment of people wanting it to be a combat job, for sure, due to older games in the franchise.

I want Beast Master as a normal job I can play in all content, I'd also like it to have dual maces for it's weapon and it to be a DPS or Tank.

I like the limited jobs content but I wanna main Beast Master so I want it as a normal job.

To be fair, I feel I used the term "limited" a bit too prematurely. Just a regular gathering job that hunts down prey for its mats would suffice. But yeah, I get that the majority of people have the sentiment of wanting it to be a combat job.

I do though feel that a pet job at this point wouldn't make much sense, especially since the devs are moving more and more away from the pet hotbar as a thing.

It's all good friend, it's 3am and I'm sleepy lol.

As far as a new gatherer or something like that then I'd like to see a Sheppard or Cattle Rancher be added, heck even as a battle job they'd be cool.
