How do Au ra get dressed

So this might be silly, but Au Ra seem to be wearing the same type of clothes are other races. But how do they wear their shirts etc. over their horns? Some of them have massive ones, and their clothes don't seem to have openings or such to accommodate them..

Horn holes. Clearly, they poke holes in their clothes like Bi'mbotes do. Sometimes I wonder why the race with tail holes in their undies and clear combat targets in ear shaped helmets aren't constantly the butt of these manner of jokes.

I assume realistically all their clothes would have large neck openings and then close up afterwards with buttons after, or just fully open from the front (or maybe back) in the first place.

Likewise, for all tailed races, I have to think that they'd likely design pants to fasten at the back over their tails rather than getting the tail through a hole at the back and then doing the pants up at the front.

There are a lot of outfits like that, but for pull-over tops, I can only assume they have very flexible fabric to get those horns through the neck hole.

The ARR clothing also has modifications for the tailed races that show that's indeed how their outfits are designed, but lamentably that didn't persist into future expansions barring the few pieces that have tail armor like the Radiant maiming/fending sets and some of the DRG and DRK artifact sets.

I like to imagine that their outfits actually fasten differently to allow them to put on clothes in a different direction than us. Like those glasses that are actually magnetically connected at the nose bridge. There's actually just an entire au ra fashion industry with alternatively-located buttons, zippers and fasteners to allow them to put on clothes without fussing with the horns or tails.

Given how stretchy some materials are, au ra might not need as many adjustments as expected at first glance, at least for the ladies.
Tails would just be designed like miqo ones but slightly larger

either way an au ra with larger horns would likely have to put one horn through first, then their head, then the other horn

Also given au ra clothing tends to be loose so it can be torn to look rugged and tough (according to encyclopedia eorzea on the auri outfit) i imagine its stretchier or looser than regular outfits


Given the sheer size/shape differences, it would probably be pretty common for au ra to get one size up than what they would wear to fit better. Especially in teenage years given the height and thickness difference between child auri and adults
