Prettymuch this. The angle some people take that "the forum is naturally the place for angry people because if they were happy with the game they'd be playing it" just doesn't ring true. For me, a forum is where I can keep (theoretically) enjoying the game with fellow fans when I can't be playing it or don't feel like playing it, but do feel like thinking and talking about it.
