What do you expect when he's a little 12 year old kid who lacks reading comprehension. He should read some fantasy novels for preteens to broaden his horizon and improve his comprehension. Or go back to WoW since their idea of storytelling matches what he likes to see. This doesn't even make sense. The poster was responding with a description of one of the past WoW expansions -- the equivalent to that which you'd like to see, and noted that such misery turned off players in droves, not that it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Garlemald? You can enjoy the rebuilding as/when it happens in-game or off-screen. That worked well for years for Blizzard.
Ascians/Ancients? We've received the blessings of both Emet-Selch and Hythlodeus.
Traditional fantasy? Which particular Final Fantasy titles have you been playing that were "traditional" fantasy?
Handicapping the afterlife? Didn't you watch the cut scenes early in the game (post level 50, but still ...) about the movement of souls and the aether of the life stream?
Outer-space lore? We've been to the moon and the edge of the Universe. There may be nothing else, since our favorite bluebird seemed to imply that it was all gone. This game has never been Star Trek:Next Generation, and never will.
