Yep, 74 upvotes for aveyond's initial post. The absolute irony of players trying to silence criticism which actually resulted in more publicity for this post really makes me laugh. It just really went sideways for them.
He's being delusional, ignoring him is the best way to do. Sometimes people are just to far gone that no amount of help can help them.
The OP ain't wrong though. This "new" content is already doomed to die in a few weeks, unless they add more rewards to the shop. Same thing happened to Bozja content, DR runs are pretty much dead, if you're lucky you'll see a half-filled PF group which tries to group up for hours and hours. Just as the Baldesion Arsenal, which is run only by a few dedicated discords. Many players (esp. new players) do not have access to these.
FFXIV devs produce content, great content, but lack a lot of creativity to either "reuse" old content (without being a numb grind, aka SHB relics) or create lasting content. If an earring can rank up it's ilvl with your own level, then I'm sure a grindy relic can do the same across many patches. We don't really need more glamour relics. People that don't raid or do extremes need a proper weapon.
You couldnt be anymore wrong with Bozja and DR. Sure you cant rely on DF anymore for DR queuing but there's always and I mean...ALWAYS people needing to run Bozja for prog, character leveling, or farming for glam pieces and with DR being tied to ShB relics and Bozja this is something that you can reliably create a PF for and you'll get people willing to jump in with you. It may take a little while for sure but to call it dead is extremely stupid. I say this because I literally just right now on Coeurl hopped into Bozja wanting to level a job and there's people running around shouting for groups in Zadnor. The OP ain't wrong though. When there's unique rewards tied to a piece of content, people will find a way to still do it, and thats's seriously the only problem we have with Variant/Criterion dungeons and I bet the devs are already working on introducing more lasting rewards to have this content be reliable for people to create groups for.
Zepla gets credit for that. Meanwhile a legit post about Endgame gearing is over 300 on its own.
No one's trying to silence his criticism, but he's not the best person to be sharing it. As a player clearly doing next to nothing, he has zero credibility and he's always saying the same thing over and over and touting himself as an authority on quality and a spokesperson for the playerbase. He won't even respond to legit comments and questions. He's nothing more than a troll.
He lucked out that some people actually agree with some of his points.
