Except your "opinion", as you claim it, is entirely based on a false premiss. You called it "extremely unfriendly", when it is anyhing but. Especially in comparison to all the rest we've gotten that can compare to Bozja. I'm not stating that as an opinion, that's a fact, you have actual comparisons there to be made to corroborate whether it is indeed unfriendly or not. Whether you still feel like it is past it, that's an opinion. But tell me, if I came to you and said "Yoshida dresses up like a horse every night" just because I feel like he is (he just has one of those faces), wouldn't you think I was kooky?

I don't know where you got that you're representing any group of people... at all. I said that you're saying things like you're on such a pedestal when it's not only not your job, it's also not your right to do so? Feedback can be provided in a certain way, what you want is to usurp what the creative team is doing and implement your own vision. You clearly were okay going through ARR and endured the evil, and you know how it's evolved. And you're complaining now?

And Arrow, you're the one stating stuff is an opinion, yet you approach the topic with:


Is it what it is?
Is the game out for your blood and try to rub you on dirt?
Who told you the game had to be that sanctuary? You?
Or did you get into something with a tone that made you uncomfortable and can't admit that the issue lies in you? That the game you purchased has those elements that you cannot concile with and instead just blamed everyone else for something you couldn't accept?

And you can disagree with whether I'm right in calling you out, of course. But at least I'm not calling the sky yellow and convincing people that it is yellow on a whim.
There is no such thing as a "wrong opinion". You can't value subjectivity that way. What there is is just someone being a bit daft and getting called out. Especially when they try to pass it as "opinion".

Basically if you're the type of person who's bored by normal difficulty stuff but either can't get 8 people together for savage or you just aren't interested in the prog process of wiping for potentially weeks because of other people, you get 1 EX trial roughly every time a new tier comes out and that is it. And people sorta stop running it after the first week because of how the content rollouts work. For example, when Barb EX came out, a week later the new savage came out so everyone I knew stopped caring about barb EX and the PF quality plummeted. I might be off-base here but I think the game's making a mistake by not appealing to this middle of the road group. Maybe criterion dungeons will scratch that itch. idk. People have been asking for harder dungeons for years, but the way the devs phrased its implementation, it sounded like they wanted to just make even more shit for the savage raiding crowd, since it's tuned for savage bis. I genuinely wonder if there's even a place for mid-tier difficulty stuff in this game anymore.

100% agree. My schedule does not allow for a savage static. Normal content is braindead boring. Something in the middle would be perfect. I don't think that will ever happen. The dev team is so stuck in their formula, I don't think they are capable of coming up with something new.

I wasn't expecting the new dungeon to be that good, and I have lots of stuff left to do + leftovers from other patches.
I don't know where you get all that time to spend on the game but I struggle to catch up, especially because I play other games too.

Just unsub for a while I guess?? I don't do it in between patches because I don't want to lose my house but if you don't like the game as it is now, no one forces you to keep playing.

I believe they mentioned making relics a little easier since they noticed that it was common for people to make multiple relics and new jobs continue to be added. Also, Hildibrand is already a large barrier to entry and it's only the first stage.

Hildebrand is not a large barrier to entry at all. It will take you 2-3 hours max if you watch cutscenes, which BTW you can skip. That's easy peasy.

To be fair, raiding is usually somewhat of a niche. A really big niche, mind you, and certainly one that attracts a sizeable portion of the playerbase, but it isn't something that maaany people will be focused on.
6.2 also gave us:
- MSQ, obviously
- Island Sanctuary, especially if you didn't rush it
- Criterion Dungeons
- Hildibrand Quests
- Tataru's Grand Endeavor
- Beast Tribe
- "Apocryphal" stuff, like additions that aren't full-on content (Housing items and crafting stuff, new treasure maps rewards...) and tweaks to past content (like adjusting Return to Ivalice for NG+ and the new version of Character Portraits).
