JRPG is a genre, an MMO is a game TYPE, you can have a JRPG that is also single player aka the Ff series.

FF 14 is a JRPG with multiplayer ELEMENTS..theres a big difference between the two. MMOs can be adapted to ANY genre or type, from Fallout to Albion Online. i remember a phone conference where the idea of an MMO based on running a hotel was raised. Waiters, chefs, all of it.

Also I meant real sources, such as the actual FF14 wiki or quotes from the dev team (hence why I even included the second example in my post since theyve used that before themselves) or related, not people's opinions on Twitter or top 10 lists from reporters who odds are just Googled random games to make their articles (speaking as someone who used to actually write those lists and get paid for it).
