People expecting to have content that legit holds their attention till next patch seriously needs to reconsider their game time management priorities. And before I hear the tired excuse of "muh precious sub" to try to justify staying in the game then if you're having a hard time trying to even answer your reason for staying subbed then that means you clearly dont need to continue playing this game till next content patch. So far the game has done very well with that business model so no use trying to criticize something that's clearly working for the consumer and the dev team.
It's not. But from someone who hasn't exactly played that many MMOs, all the MMOs I've played had their fair share of grinding as the main content, and it's a sure-fire way of making sure people stay subbed. Hell, even in games where you don't have a sub. Is there any other alternative? Because to me, yeah, grinding is normal for MMOs. WoW didn't brainwash me of that, FF14 did But while I can say 14 has too much grind on it, I don't think I've ever seen anything that didn't default to a grind in some way when it comes to MMOs...
