Yes. In a free market, anyone can charge money for anything else, and people will buy based on the perceived value. The only thing SE execs care about is revenue. If the product isn’t worth it, we need to demonstrate that by unsubscribing. I plan on doing the same. It’s our job to look after ourselves, not a multi-billion dollar company.

If thats the case then why is this a subscription based game?

Good question. I don’t think it should be given the pace of content. A better business model would be to sell content passes a la carte so people can play at their own pace, but that’s very experimental and this is SE.
