It's one of the worst genres to develop for, so someone has to come in with just as much passion and financial backing and then get several years in live before they can be considered better.
I have high hopes for ashes of creation and the league of legends MMO, but then again there have been plenty of MMOs in the past that claimed they would surpass wow or FF. I'll believe it when I see it happen.
