Variant & Criterion Dungeons

So, what are you guys impression of it? I did normal solo and was quite something.



Not impressed on the reward department tho
i was expecting at least weapon or gear around ilvl 615-625 for criterion but it seems it's only materia, mounts and other goods
even potd and HoH gave you some weapons if even for glam

Pretty sure they mention no gear drop from these already so it was to be expected, we are getting a deep dungeon in future, possibly even as soon as 6.3, youll find your wanted gear then...

Not surprised or disappointed. If you thought there would be gear in this with dungeons, crafted, tome and savage already out there, you played yourself.

I enjoyed the variant, criteron Im not gonna bother. Not sure why they even added it if theyre forcing you to do it with 4. I thought the point of these were for solo duo.

(Maybe Im wrong and I missed how to solo the crit dungeon, but it appears to force a 4 player pt for me, pass)

I'm not sure where you got this idea. They've explained from the start that the intention of Criterion dungeons are to be high end Dungeon content, on tier with Extreme Trials and Savage Raid difficulty.

It's for players that want difficult dungeon content. Variant is for solo, duos, trios, whatever you want it to be. So enjoy that, and the others you'll have in the future. But Criterion is something else. Maybe it's not for you, and that's ok. But i'm excited about it.

Pretty deep dungeon took place of bozja/eureka content, vaguely remember them wanting switch between them every other patch. If anything this took the place of a 3rd ult, kinda.. more or less they needed to give raiders a reason to gear up mid expansion while there was no expected ult.

Im fine with hard tier, the impression came because enemies scale in the first dungeon, so whynot also the 2nd.
Difficult content doesnt “have” to = 4-8 ppl.

Its been a long time since something like POTD solo/coop has come.

Hard content, Im for, I just dont enjoy grouped content when it comes to high tier, too much toxic and/or >
Its an introvert thing, unless I know the ppl IRL id rather not. Casual stuff I alrdy group up all the time for lol.

Oh well, hope you enjoy it at least! Maybe solo/duo ppl can find their tough challenge in the next DD update, le sigh. Back to crafting house things

I quite like it. The mouse boss is absolutely adorable. Got the minion and I would die for it.
