I heard that SE's released a Legend of Mana anime even with English subtitles and are showing it with Muse Asia, but they've region locked the video to be viewable in South-East Asia only. I'm totally gutted, I was really looking forward to seeing this anime and can't understand SE's decision on region locking especially with the game itself now being available worldwide on Steam.
I've played Legend of Mana since it was released for the PS1 in the US (I had to import the CD because they didn't release it in the EU/UK and had to chip my PS1) and I still keep going back to the game because it's so beautiful and has some wonderful stories that still brings tears to my eyes. I'm honestly disappointed that the game received so little reception when it was first released just because it wasn't like the other games in the series so much so that people even refused to acknowledge it as part of the series and considered it a different game altogether that just shared the same title (savages!) But I appreciated everything about the game and even if it didn't have the same playstyle of the other games in the series it was still a very beautifully put together game with beautiful artwork, amazing music, touching stories, and I felt that the world builder was especially unique that set this game aside from all other similar JRPGs and made this game special. I'm so glad I got to play this when I did and to see it remastered for Steam has made me even happier, although I do wish that they didn't use sprites for the characters because now our monitors are much bigger and higher definition so the sprites look far too blocky and give me migraines.
