Suggestion: gathering while mounted

In Monster Hunter: Rise, you can run around on a dog mount, and gather items off the ground without dismounting. I cannot tell you how awesome this is. And if they implemented this in FFXIV, I would be overjoyed. Gathering is already gated behind the GP needed for gathering abilities, so why not? Getting on and off the mount between each of the 3 nodes is just a pain coming from Monster Hunter: Rise.

I never understood why people even mount up while gathering. You can only get back so much GP. I just jog around to my nodes, giving my GP more time to tick back and keep myself a little busier with less clicks.

That aside, they're not likely to ever put this in because gathering is not one simple action. It's almost like combat in a way, so you have to be off your mount.

Ahhhh I would love this so much. Sadly, I have to agree with the above poster though that it probably won't happen because the game's code is all spaghetti-os at this point. Good suggestion though!
