Please consider providing MMO Gaming Mice as Options for FanFest 2022 Events!!!

I've read around that SE only allows Traditional KB+Mouse / Controller for the EX Trial runs at FanFest, but it would really be amazing if they please provided MMO Mice this time as well to help others like myself who play with them.

Playing a class like a GNB normally on a keyboard and mouse, traditionally is just too much finger stretching, nevermind a controller, so it'd be really amazing if you guys include them this year.

pretty sure the equipment used at these things is like all rented out from somewhere in bulk. things like MMO mouses are rather expensive no? I doubt they're an option.

Plus you'd have to keybind the buttons and whatnot yes? They only allow you a couple minutes to setup before they force you to start. It would hold things up too much.

Usually these are provided via sponsorships..thats up to SE.

It's not, I've been without an MMO mouse for two years and still can play GNB properly, even just by clicking my skills. If you're used to using keybinds and want them to ptovide for your specific case/you personally have struggles or issues not using them then that's fair but saying it's too much in general is false.

My husband in game also plays GNB on controller, just throwing that our there.

It sounds like you might need to adjust your hotbars if you're still stretching after continuation got condensed. I play with a regular mouse and don't have any problems.

That's a lot of excuses for something that probably involves a single email from SE to Razer/Corsair/Logitech (iirc, the latter is even mentioned under "special thanks" in the credits).

While they are at it, they can even agree on some random licensed product like Y'shtola ass mousepad or something.

That's awesome that you have your own playstyle for this game, but I and many others have different ways of playing. I've never been very good at playing MMO's without an MMO mouse due to the sheer amount of skills needed to push without accidentally pressing another skill due to fat fingering or finger tangling.

I've been using MMO mice in MMO's since Aion, so the transition to basic kb+m would be horrific. It'd be nice to have options to either have them included or allow us to bring our own, with the exception of it being able to work on basic drivers. (Razer Naga's work without any drivers, for example)

Because that's how you're used to playing with your keybinds. I've used MMO mice for years because I find my fingers get tangled and slide along other keybinds easilly without an MMO mouse to space my controls apart.

Virus and other malware issues are the obvious issues. Aside from that you're there in a play session for about 10-15 minutes at the most. It's just not worth it, plus the staff have to reset the stuff in between every play session as well. Also the people running these things are usually volunteers/staff that have little to no knowledge of support of the equipment. say you plug in your mouse and the PC there doesn't recognize it at all. really the thing at events like these is to use the KISS principle as much as possible. They've been doing these events for quite some time now.

Being at these events means you're going to fumble because it's not going to be setup the way you're used to. Part of the fun of the whole thing. You might not see it that way of course but thems the breaks.

I also play with a controller on GNB..

Please stop saying classes are hard or to many buttons for controllers.. we have access to 48 buttons without switching from the first page once your options are all enabled.

I think there is a disconnect due to how different people define 'hard' or 'playing properly'. OPs definition of 'playing properly' may be vastly different from some of the people replying to him.
