I'm hijacking this one. It would be better to create a loot system for savage that gets people to play with one another. Yes, the fights are difficult, but a lot of people who are capable of doing those fights never get to see them because there is no benefit to helping other people get their first clear. In all other content other than savage players who have cleared said content mix with those who don't and get appropriate bonuses for their time. The experience of the recruited players stays about equal relative to the recruiting player. The complete reverse happens with savage content because those that have cleared do not participate. The closer someone is to clearing the worse the recruited party members perform relative to the recruiting player because the pool of players to draw on only includes those that have never cleared. Again, the reason being that the people who have cleared do not get any appropriate rewards for helping those who have not cleared, and the experience of hitting that PUG "enrage to clear" wall is such a terrible experience that the players who cleared it do not want to risk a repeat. So they just never join a clear party again as a rule.

The savage loot system runs counter to the pro-community stance of SE's developers. If we only received books and no more random loot boxes that would actually be better, since they could implement a once-a-week bonus book for helping others clear. That way if someone has already cleared for the week, something like a once-per-week bonus book for helping other teams clear could be implemented. We would see a lot more of the community helping each other in that kind of situation and a lot less elitism/toxicity.
