Can we please have some other way to get brine/twine/shine before 6.3

I play Tank in a static. We gear our DPS first, as most statics do and should be. Increasing firepower gives the best improvement to the group. I do not contest this.
But it feels so bad to give up shine after brine after twine week after week. I'm half way done gearing my WHM alt already with pieces nobody wants and 3 of the DPS still need multiple upgrade materials.
There really need to be another system that allowed Tanks and Healers to catch up, Criterion was a great opportunity that was lost.
Honestly it's like week 10 already. Let me buy them with tomestones already, having to wait 4 weeks to upgrade a piece not even because of bad drop RNG but just a matter of fact that there is only 1 of each per week is awful.

posted in another thread my suggestions, either change prices on books so twines/shines are 2 instead of 4 (alongside other stuff getting cheaper too) or split doorboss and final phase into seperate bossfights, with doorboss dropping twine, shine, brine, tomestone, or twine, shine, chestpiece coffer, random chestpiece (chestpieces would then be bought with 4th books, and weapons bought with a new 5th book, so they dont conflict anymore)

After thinking a bit about it, yeah we do happen to be somewhat short on Twines / Brines.

Per week you obtain 3 [Head, Hands, Boots], 3 [Any Accessory], 1 [Chest, Legs] per raid lockout, along with 1x Upgrade of each category, of which one type is only temporary. We said "save up any books for Tome Upgrades" for good reason in our group.

On one hand, I could definitely see another Shine in the first fight and another Twine in the final one. But outside of that (since they missed the mark with Criterion sadly) I don't see any content that would be fair to just drop additional Tome upgrades into for non-raiders before the welfare patches (x.1, x.3, x.5).

Though admittedly, the current gearing formula has grown a bit stale, especially when you consider gearing multiple jobs, even within the same gear type (fast vs slow builds for example, most relevant on casters). Then again, the item level of the most recent crafted gear generally is a good starting point and outside of the hardest content it is more than sufficient; the game is literally designed like that. You also get +10 iLv above that with standard tome gear and unless you actually raid / optimise, your statline matters little thanks to how watered down stats are.

Short - its boring, it works though and nothing other than QoL for gearing alt jobs mandates a change sadly.

Whoever is in charge of loot for your group is an idiot. However an idiot is not the fault of the system in place, which is fine as is

I agree... being week 8, Criterion Savage would be perfect to have the augmentation items as a (once a week) chest reward or some Silver farm, on top of helping with the gearing/alt job issue, it would give people reason to actually run the content more.

Not even mentioning how good this would be for Party Finder raiders. Me being one, I can attest how horrible it is to clear the same fight 3 weeks in a row without winning anything but the pity book, and not just that, but once I saw tha same person get everything AT ONCE.
