Up to date Nvidea SLI code:

Import your SLI profile to text using Nvidea's SLI profile tool:

    http://www.geeks3d.com/20100528/mana...-profile-tool/

Locate the Final Fantasy IV section.
Replace the code with this(do not erase the executable file list...just replace numbered code):

    Setting ID_0x0076e164 = 0x00000009
    Setting ID_0x00a06946 = 0x000240f5
    Setting ID_0x1033cec1 = 0x00000003
    Setting ID_0x1033cec2 = 0x00000002
    Setting ID_0x1033dcd2 = 0x00000004
    Setting ID_0x1033dcd3 = 0x00000004
    Setting ID_0x10930f46 = 0x00000089
    Setting ID_0x1095def8 = 0x02506405
    Setting ID_0x10ecdb82 = 0x00040000

Save the file. Export it using the profile tool. I got an 800 point increase on my Benchmark for less than 5 min of effort. Courtesy of Point_Zero. Hope this helps, Probably worthy of a sticky or at least to be passed around.

Tip: If you get an error on the import, just re-install the drivers. Be sure to select "Custom" and at the bottom choose to do a complete removal of the old drivers and a fresh install, even if its the same ones.

It would probably be a good idea to offer something in the way of an explanation as to why a custom list of code offers significant benchmark improvement.

Did the guy who first posted that say anything about it?

I don't know why it works better, it only has a few extra lines of code...so I guess in lamens terms it means it makes the card do more stuff. As for its history, I didnt ask, I just did it knowing that I could simply go back to the old code. Im not forcing this on anyone, just thought it might help folks out there. I got an instant 800pt increase, I was happy.

Just as a heads up, this can be a little misleading. This is not a new SLI profile configuration. It's the same one that's been around and used since August. As far as I remember, it was just the Crysis configuration, much like people used for the benchmark.

We've kept an updated thread on this topic over on the Core, located here.

So the Crysis configuration is somehow still more efficient than the default FFXIV configuration? Or was Vix using an outdated driver?

For me, the Crysis, Crysis Warhead and Crysis 2 SLI profiles still work best rather than using the default SLI XIV profile. I have strange things happen in game when I use the default one so I stay with the Crysis profiles for now. However, for me, the Crysis profiles still have one problem for my system. The in game cutscenes flicker really bad when fading from one scene to another i.e. getting on to boat to Limsa Lominsa. Its annoying but I dont see it enough for it to be that big of a problem. I have 2 480 GTX's and I hear a lot of players with this same issue are running the 400 series card in SLI.
