Cannot accept or continue any of the new quests from patch 1.22b

Area: Mor Dhona-where ever the stronghold box for the Don't Shoot the Messenger Quest is (sorry didn't write down coordinates-will attempt to find this out) and in Ul'dah - The Usual Suspect Ul'dah Inn front Desk & Rear entrance

Steps:

For "The Usual Supect"_ I spoke with Otopo after noticing the (!) over his head Scrolled thru the dialogue and recieved the message that I had gotten a wanted poster. I NEVER received a quest listing in my journal. I talked with some linkshell mates and attempted to trigger what I needed to for the quest, to include putting my character in the Ul'dahn Inn and exiting game for approximately 15 mins and logging back on. During the entire time I was attepmting to start the quest I only had 6 storyline/GC quests listed, 3 regional quests , and 4 local levequests so I had the space to accept the quest. I repeatedly got rid of the wanted poster to attepmt to re-trigger the quest but only received the wanted poster - no quest. I made several attempts to do this quest from approximately 8:30pm-9:45pm EDT

For "Don't Shoot the Messenger-Gridania"-I accepted the quest and had absolutely no problems with each of the steps necessary to continue up to the point when I spoke with Cid in MorDhona and was told to go get the items from the Crash site. At this point I partied up with first one, then two and eventually three other folks. We wandered around missed the wreck site completely and eventually ended up at the new Aetherite node cave. I clicked on the Node and got the typical message that I had arrived. I pushed leave and then since nobody had ??? over their heads, 3 out of 4 of us decided to head out to the crash site.

We fought a bunch of Imperials and all of us received keys to open the stronghold box nearby message (this was reflected in my journal) got to the large box and the other two characters could see ??? over the box. They were able to scroll thru their dialogue and finish that portion of the quest. I mentioned I could not see ??? and the other two kindly stayed so I could run around and walk around the box. I tried clicking on all sides of the box while facing each and every side. I did this while taking aggro and not taking aggro. I and my two other party members tried for over 30 mins everything we could think of to get this portion of the quest to trigger for me. UP to and including logging out to the character screen and back. Nothing would make it trigger so we eventually gave up and I teleported to Ul'dah and ran into the above problem. (The Usual Suspect). This occured approximately from 7:45 pm EDT to 8:30pm.

I want to say I logged completely off game from 8:45pm to 9pm. I went back in at 9 pm and as a solo player re-tried to trigger The Usual Suspects (with no luck) and decided to go to Camp Brittlebark and re-try my luck with unlocking the Strongbox (no luck there either). At 9:45pm I gave up on both quests and logged out of game after returning to my secondary home point the at the Roost in Gridania.

If any more info is needed please let me know
