Poor performance?

Hello! Me and my brother play FF XIV in PC with really similar machines, the main difference is that he has an Nvidia card (2060 super) and 32 gb of ram, while I have an AMD (6800XT) but with only 16 gb of ram.

The thing is, he have a really superior performance than me. While on duty there is not too much of problem, but when we go into cities my PC tank hard. On Old Sharlayan my FPS drops to 30-40, while my brother have 50-60 (we where at the same time, so there should be the same amount of players).

It has something to do with AMD and its drivers or are those 16 gb of ram extra making THAT much of a difference?

I will let this here in case anyone somewhere in the future has a similar issue. I try a lot of stuff with my brother, and one of them was to actually swap our rams to see if that was the issue, the performance was the same. NOW, what i did was re-download my AMD drivers and install it and I got really boost on my performance. It not only detects an 1080p border less window, but it also boost my performance in cities to 50-70 fps (in the crowded ofc). According to my AMD app, i was up to date, but that was not case. So always keep an eye on the drivers
