So I just went through a really frustrating thing in the game, and wanted to share it along with a suggestion to solve the problem. I'm sure I'm not the only person this has happened to. Just an hour or so ago I got three full lines on my Khloe Journal for weekly content for the first time. This being a journal I received from last week.

Excitedly, I went to turn it in. And after doing so I quickly asked Khloe for a new journal. Problem being, it didn't accept the turn-in of my three-line-filled journal, because I had selected a treasure map and had forgotten that I already had one in my inventory.

So it didn't turn in the three-line journal, and I had instead just replaced this journal with a brand new one. So the entire thing was gone. No rewards. And I have no idea when I ever will get such a journal again.

End point being, I feel like this kind of thing needs a safety net in the game. Like a warning that prevents you from replacing a journal that has unclaimed rewards on it, so that you don't miss out because of a moment of stupidity like this.
