Yes the ceiling beams would be nice to switch out or get rid of. Hopefully they can make the switching out and or removal of pillars a thing. Then we can maybe see if they can't change other parts of the inside of housing so that they become less annoying.
Fudge, thank the eff goodness. It's really preventing me on working on a cafe.
While we're at it, can we also get options on the wall/ceiling style? I mean the baseboard/corners/ceiling itself and not the wallpaper.
As long as removing the pillars is optional, sure. More options are always good.I actually like the pillars, I'm not fond of "realistic" designs, I want my home to look like it actually belongs to the in-game world.
Professional lurker.
As others have said please remove the stuff on the inside. We’d like a top to floor empty wall. No pillars. No baseboard (or make it optional), no ceilings beams or windows. We use alot of items to cover these currently which is a unwanted use of our already small item limit.
Ah, if only They could make the ceiling and the doors more neutral too! Like, just give us a big empty "box" to work with.During the Q&A part of the recent 14hr broadcast a person asked Yoshida if they could make it so that we could switch or even remove pillars and windows inside of houses. Yoshida replied with an answer of that part of the team had already been working on trying to make it so you can switch them out or even remove them. I love it when we ask questions like this only to find out the team has already been working on trying to make said request a possibility.
So hopefully they at least figure out a way for us to switch them out. As at least with a switch out you can then work them into a design better. Or have less pressure to have a house or apartment in a certain housing ward just so you don't have to eat up a slot in trying to hide a pillar style you don't enjoy. Which sure doesn't please the few who want 100% flat wall, but at least it would be something.
The amount of furnishings people use to hide the pillars and the ugly ceilings by using the float glitch is quite the hindrance, especially on FC rooms and apartments.
To add on to my previous post:
- non-hanging ceiling lights. Just a flat light on the roof that doesn’t hang at all. Just provides light. Sometimes they get in the way of decorating.
- option to change the stairs to the top floor and basement
- options to change the exit door and the door to the fc rooms/workshop
Seems like the simplest answer would be to change the interior models to remove them all entirely, and then make new placeable pillars and windows that matched those styles for anyone who actually liked them.
