Weaponskill Actions and Traits Adjustments
After seeing the Lv. 30 Gladiator Job Quest cutscene, it looks so satisfying to pull off. Shield Bash breaks all combos so far so unless it is a combo action, we'll never see this maneuver used without taking a huge potency loss. Also, saw it executed well in the Endwalker Trailer.
Adding Shield Combo System to Base Actions and Traits. Combos based on Fast Blade (1-2-3) or Shield Bash (1-3) as a starter with Shield Bash stun effect in mind. Shield Bash combo will fix rotation stability. Sword Oath now affects combo potency of the standard (1-2-3) and (1-3) combos. Atonement is now a combo starter, finisher, and filler for increased MP and Divine Might stack gains. Goring Blade and Blade of Valor have new effects allowing freedom in rotation and making them thematic. Goring Blade, Prominence, and Blade of Valor will now give Royal Blessing. Actions and spells will now increase the oath gauge generated supplementing oath gauge generation from auto attacks. MP gain for actions have been adjusted to reflect increased magic repertoire. Potency of various actions adjusted to match current Holy Spirit potency under Requiescat as well as achieve parity with single target and aoe rotations on groups of 2 mobs. Sword Oath and Divine Might accumulation have been readjusted to make room for Level 100 Actions. Sword Oath and Divine Might will cap at 4 to complement Requiescat stack of 4.

Scrapped idea of Confiteor spam during Requiescat with extra cost, if I wanted to nuke spam enemies, I'd play Summoner and Black Mage. Ability Actions and Traits Adjustments
Holy Sheltron and Intervention are an ogcd Clemency by nature at Lv. 82 so there is no need to turn Clemency into an ability, instead Oath Gauge will fill faster with combos, spells and ability synergy. Trying to keep the option to have 50% Physical 30% Magic 20% Healing Phases in the form of Fight or Flight, Requiescat, and Divine Veil. Divine Veil has been repurposed as a healing phase, personal mitigation, and raid wide mitigation rolled into one to match the skill animation. Divine Veil healing system will be supplemented with the Luminous Shard stack healing system. Sheltron, Holy Sheltron, and Intervention have been enhanced to reflect the lack of mitigation due to various defensive toolkit nerfs and skill loss over the expansions. Aiming to treat [Cover][Divine Veil][Clemency] combo as a secondary invuln of sorts when used together so that Hallowed Ground remains unchanged. Added Hallowed Ground effect to Passage of Arms, while I know it will never happen in-game, the animation combined with the inability to move, attack, or self heal balances it out. Passage of Arms increases oath gauge by 50 to add defensive system utility. Cover is now a toggle with no gauge cost, like dance partner but range and tether unchanged for identity, since it has no real use in any format so might as well have fun with it and be a true paladin. Cover synergy has been added to the toolkit. Intervene no longer deals damage, allowing for better usage instead of just for burst. Fight or Flight has been reverted back to physical only and 25s to respect the dual physical/magic phases and have a proper balance. Fight or Flight recast time now interacts with Requiescat to maximize dual burst modes. Divine Veil animation restored to 6.2 version because it's supposed to be used with Clemency so the animations match. Requiescat can remain at 4 stacks due to Confiteor combo actions augmenting Requiescat into a pseudo 4-8 stack. (Fight or Flight 10 gcd physical = Requiescat 5 gcd magical) This physical/magic ratio will be used to achieve balance with potencies on both burst windows. Side note: Rampart should be taken off Role actions and made Gla/Pld only. Letting all tanks have access to this skill is part of what makes healing redundant. Removing it off Role Actions would also put an emphasis on having the split between Heal/Shield healer roles. Worst case, you can adjust the damage reduction through Tank Mastery on all tanks, since that's already a free Rampart on all tanks.

Enjoying the theorycraft. I want Paladin to be able to attack, cast magic and heal without having to rely on turning Clemency into ogcd or stack ability healing, I'll leave that to healers because it'll only increase for them. With the continued homogenization of tank mitigation and recovery, Paladin is losing its identity, so adjusting and enhancing its unique defensive abilities is in order. The weakest in attack, but the strongest in defense and support healing. When the toolkit has proper synergy, its really strong. Liking this version a lot. When I imagine Paladin, they have the versatility and mobility to protect all their allies. At least that's what I'm imagining Paladin to be.
