Can we have more short haircuts please?

As in spikey ones? I thought I had found a good one with Wind Caller, but much to my shock it mullets in the back down between the shoulder blades.

I am genuinely shocked as to the lack of short good looking hair styles. Most seem to be really out there. I get that it's a fantasy game, but if Zell and Seifer got decent short haircuts 23 years ago, I think we can have some more in this game.

I know devs don't read these forums, just kinda fed up with the hair selection for my male Highlander.

I wonder. If they'd look at this thread, would they rehash the same bullshit response they gave Hrothgars after April 1st? Because given what they gave us on 6.2, with the weird texture around our ears that makes it look like we have a wig with the world's botchiest ear socket, spaghetti textures would still be around. Fettucine style.

That said, I did make a Highlander last week and I can tell you right now I only like 3 hairstyles overall, one of which I need to unlock. And it's even worse on Roegadyn. I feel like the only good ones for Roe are the one OP is using and the quasi-mohawk, all the rest look so gaudy.

But I am picky, so there is that.

Yes indeed you are picky because as a roe enthusiast I quite like a lot of the roe exclusive hairstyles. I use the back swept short hair on my main roe, and the Branden hair for my well...Branden alt lol

Yeah, it's the protruding part for me... it's just not working it.
That one I'd say I'm neutral. Not something I'd wear, but if there were nothing else, I'd use it.

But <.< when 90% of all unlockable hairstyles look downright awful on Roegadyn...

Also lol "Roe enthusiast" as if I didn't play a Roegadyn for the majority of my gameplay either, hmph!

I was thinking about how MHW has a plethora of haircuts of varying lengths and styles, from cornrows, braids and fades, long hair, wavy hair, curly hair, ponytails and more. And how some hairstyles have different iterations, like the one with your hair pulled back behind a bandana can be kinda unkempt or have dreadlocks. I used the one with dreads on a Jak & Daxter cosplay based off some older concept art.

So basically just more varying Hairstyles with different versions and have them be Unisex

Considering they had to make a whole separate male midlander face just to slap stubble on it, yeah I don't have any faith on that end lol. Knowing them, they'd just make the hairstyles with varying lengths into two or three different Modern Aesthetics, and there's no telling what they got going on in the back end.

But they really should be able to make different hairstyles of different lengths and styles instead of the blandly unisex ones that are neither masculine nor feminine enough.

I bet you can't possibly guess what hairstyle I slap all my male midlander characters in. Go on, guess. You'll never get it right even in a million years. But seriously there are only about 3 good looking short hairstyles the rest are medium or long length and I usually default right back to the Stormblood Monk hair. Would be nice to have access to the other races's race locked hairstyles though.
