This topic has been talked about extensively throughout the years, to be sure. And we're all tired of hearing what the devs said is possible or impossible, and what their idea of the glamour system has to be or not. I'm well aware of those statements, but I'd like to simply give my own side on how I think the system could be.

In my opinion, I believe if they're ever going to really spare no expense to overhaul this system, no matter how long it takes for them to be able to, I'd like to see a system where ideally, all of the Level 1 All Classes gear would be the one fitting in the armoire. Anything that's a purely cosmetic piece and really requires no modification. Perhaps, since there is already some artifact gear in there, it'd be nice to also see the rest of them in there, as well as relics, since those go hand in hand.

As for the glamour dresser, I'd like to see a system where you're inputting actually leveled and job-locked gear to make it open for other jobs. I don't even mind the level restriction, since it makes it so it's something you have to look forward to by raising your character, but surely, the class restrictions have to go. I know all too well the dev team dislikes the idea of mixing class fantasies, but let's be honest. We can already use animal costumes, bikinis, as well as modern clothes while fighting, and besides that, I think the most important point of it all, is the fact that the NPCs -canonically- mix and match gear all the time. It has been a lot more than once that I inspect how an NPC is dressed and come to discover they're matching two different classes or more together in their gear. If the devs are able to mix and match for canonical NPCs in the world, why can't the Warrior of Light do the same?

I believe that with a structure where we have cosmetic pieces on the armoire and the glamour dresser specifically made to widen the usage of those gear pieces for as long as they're inside the dresser, we'd make not only the dresser less crowded, but we'd also be able to justify a little more why both exist as separate inventories.

PSA: Yes, I know some of you would prefer a combat adjustment happened over a glamour one, but quite frankly, that's not what I'm here to discuss. If nothing else, I'd prefer to see takes on how to make this system even better, or why it couldn't work other than "x dev said this once in a blue moon".
