Petition for adding a motion when you play Harp on Bard & more instruments to come!

I realize that the Relic Weapons haven't even been released yet only the quests.
But, I really hope when Bard does get the Harp/Bow, that we ACTUALLY play our instrument instead of the lame harp sound we make when we cast songs...

Not only that but I think the fact that we don't even sing when we cast songs, and instead just put our hand in front of our faces was just a dumb idea.
Instead of the harp noise after music is cast we should sing when we have no instrument and then the song comes under effect. OR when we do have instruments we should play them and actually have a motion and music comes out. I personally loved Bard on FFXI and it was one of my fave jobs!

I would like to see a community rep post please, or if not Yoshi-P actually answer my question in his next interview maybe about 2.0 or the future. Because, honestly I would love to know if they even are thinking of implementing this in 2.0 or future patch, maybe when the Relics are released?

I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way, I really would like to feel more like a Bard and be more unique.

Are you sure the weapons are not implemented yet?
There is a "lame" and unfinished edition of each weapon, aren't they implemented?

There used to be two or three threads bouncing around about players wanting bards to be able to compose their own music.

I think this goes hand-in-hand with it. Give bards instruments again and please let them play music they create themselves!

Well on the off chance they don't put it in the game when u get your Bow/Harp this will catch their attention and will change the patch maybe? I hope anyways.

I agree. for a Bard to actually have that minstrel-like feel, we need to have some kind of instrument implementation. FFXI had independent animations for singing and the instruments that were available.

It could be complicated as we have what seems to be transforming bows, but I suppose you could always have some kind of trumpet/flute bows, as well as the existing Harp-bow.

Instruments equippable in the currently unused "pouch" slot, then you can actually choose what your songs sound like. ^_^

Could also have craftable instruments.

Yes i was totally thinking this too. ^
but since i saw relic being a bow and stuff i didn't say anything cuz it doesn't seem like SE would go that way with it ;;.

Theres a F2P called Mabinogi. Played it a bit, and you could compose songs for instruments kinda like a Midi file. Was pretty fun, but the interface for composing was...horid, so folks made some tools to make it easier.

Was pretty fun trying to make new tunes. Not sure if its doable, or even a good idea for FF14, but it was definately something that kept me busy and having fun for a while.
