Still no east coast what a shame. Guess drinking copium was bad after all.

Never owned one not even after they allowed you to go in daily cause I was a poor cat girl. You had to sponsor runs back during the days where there was a long lockout timers on them. I did however learn a few swears in French as the people who were in charge of my group were all French. That is until they all quit and were smart/dumb enough to hand the linkshell ownership over to me.
Remember this is just the first set. They said they wanted to have the new DCs to have eight worlds attached to them.

I am a little surprised they decided not to move any severs. Wasn't Aether kind of a mess?

Not really? All the Data Centers have roughly similar populations. Aether just gets overcrowded on major patches because it has the highest volume of raiders wanting to all jump on the content as soon as it drops.
I suspect they didn't relocate servers because of the immense backlash it caused last time. I don't think they expected so many people to transfer right back to their main Data Center. Balmung basically lost its entire raid scene as they all relocated back onto Aether. Put simply, people really disliked server shuffling.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
Part of the login process happens at the data center level and the current loads are straining things. That's why they're creating a new data center just as they did for JP earlier this year (though JP only had worlds moved to it, no new worlds created).
I'm fully expecting SE to slap all NA worlds with the Congested status when Dynamis opens to force new character creation to happen on the new data center. Data center travel means friends will still be able to play with friends.

No, we had queues with EW but so did everyone else. And when they split servers off to go to Crystal it was really unpopular. They're doing the smart thing this time by not again uprooting people from the DC they've established themselves on.
Wow. I was looking for a new world to move to recently. I'll have to give up my house but I don't mind, since I'm a solo player anyway. At the very least, I'll be able to get away from people who dance AFK for days on end in areas I commonly visit. (At least for a little while.)
Halicarnassus sounds like the name of a flower, it's pretty. I also like Seraph as a name. Makes me think of one of my favorite heroines from the series, Serah.
