I dont know, they maybe not hear our suggestions but at least people can get "community feedback". And even if Yoshi-P and other devs are mainly focusing on JP players, you can bet your chocobo that in some meetings someone says "Btw, the western community doesnt like this or are asking for this other thing". Worse case scenario at least you can just express what you think about something and feel heard.

I'm not sure if you're aware of such a thing as filtering feedback/comments. If someone told you to jump off a cliff, I hope to god you wouldn't just do it. People are able to filter through feedback internally and determine what's actually helpful. Can't believe this has to be said lmao.

Yes, there is a small population (that many times doesnt even play the game/watch the movie) but they are very vocal in social media and journalism. Examples there are A LOT, just see a list of recent reboots or "Spiritual successor" and you will get an idea. The problem is that the higher ups believe that most people want something that the community doesnt really want, or are so desperate to get awards they are willing to sacrifice an IP.

I can see where you're coming from, but the case with this specific game at least seems to be that the team has a strong vision of where it's headed and whatnot. So I don't really see any way of any of Minfilia being turned into an "overweight trans person" for the sake of satisfying some invisible crowd that doesn't even play the game.
