Seems that MCH got a ~2.5-2.6% dps buff according to discussions I've seen
Watching forum drama be like
Well maybe MCH will finally be on par with BRD and DNC with which we are competing for spot in savage raids.
I still think ranged tax is a bit too heavy but at least now i won't feel bad about taking p ranged spot in grp.
They will certainly make more adjustments to 6.3,
I think they prefer to go progressively because they do not want to completely abolish the mobility tax.
The damage increases are welcome, but still insufficient for both the Machinist and the Casters.
Nice buffs, likely still wont be enough. Realistically Mch should be on par with melee dps, otherwise it should just flat out be around 3rd spot for highest if "range tax" was really ment to be minimized this patch. We shall see...
I concur. I would love to see more substantial MCH buffs in 6.3 to both single-target and AOE. Maybe Hypercharge will finally go to 5 charges over 15 to 20 seconds, just like DRK's Blood Weapon, perhaps?
Mechanical changes tend to come out on major patches, so we'll see what they tell us in the 6.3 Live Letters.
Today with 6.28 was just a start, but it was a fine start.
I disagree that it was a "fine start". The goal of the patch was to reduce the range tax, but it is pretty clear by dancer receiving no buffs it was an "in role" balance patch.I concur. Machinist will never be not terrible unless the range tax dies, otherwise the most supportive job in the role will always have the massively higher damage cap. Unless the "we are intentionally making ranged jobs bad" paradigm dies, MCH will unavoidably be the worst job in the game in perpetuity.
I didn’t think 6.28 was supposed to be the dissolution for range tax. I considered 6.3 maybe but who knows the Devs may wait till 7.0 with job altering and reworks about.I disagree that it was a "fine start". pretty massive buff
gameplay doesn't change, animations are still stuck in heavensward
almost there but not quite still. think any sane person would still be playing bard or dancer
