    There is still some jank but for the first time in years Machinist is actually competitive with both Bard and Dancer.

    While not everything it needed, it is a step to the right place.

    I would say, since Wildfire has a maximum of 6, it could now have a higher duration so 200ms ping don't have such strict time yet. Maybe it will come later, but I see no reason to make Hypercharge have charges and WF have maximum when WF time is the same.

    Aside from that, I like how it is going. MCH could offer no damage buffs but could help with mitigation (which is just another damage buff but for healers)

    Anyway, glad there was change, and I will wait for the WF extension time (by 1~2 seconds) and WF problem for high ping is fixed!

    Hope they do give it some love like SMN in 6.0.

    Yeah, make WF 12 seconds (or even 11) and it will be high ping friendly and all the changes will be made clear. A hotfix..... the 6.35.... maybe..? It won't make lower pings deal more damage, but will gladly help our high ping friends (like Chile/Brazil!)

    the Dismantle re-addition will be VERY nice for week 1 prog, enrages like Terminal Relativity and such will be a lot nicer with MCH as you could choose either to throw Dismantle at eg wave 2, and Tact at wave 3, or you could make the call to throw both at wave 3 (where the damage ups are big) to more heavily mitigate it. BRD likewise will be able to use Minne as a pseudo raidmit, via buffing how effective shields are during succorspam. and DNC has Samba and Improv which can be flashed for just the % healing increase if needed, or for a slight clip of GCD, apply a shield effect to people. Good selection of different ways to 'help mitigate' I think, will be interesting to see if MCH's damage now is more competitive with the raidbuffers

    Bumping up the topic for feedback following 6.35.

    MCH damage is still too low to compete on BRD/DNC's rDPS but Dismantle is a strong addition. I don't think MCH will be in dire need for additionnal buffs for the remaining patches of the expansion.
    Thought I still support the idea of removing the ranged tax in 7.0 since melees can't possibly lose uptime in way too many content. In P7S, P8S and the all phases in TOP, you will remains 99%+ of the time remains at melee range, including tanks who actually have to disconnect due to mechanics.

    However I'd like to focus on the Automaton Queen/Living Shadow behavior (once again) in Eureka Orthos.
    There is multiple cases where its behavior will cause it to lose Arm Punch, Pile Bunker or Crown Collider use.

    Automaton Queen fails to select a new target before the timer runs out, making it disappear.
    Some ennemies explodes at death, despite being untargetable, AQ/LS will continue to strike these ennemies.

    Pile Bunker and Crown collider being among the highest potencies, it is very inconvenient to lose those with very limited control over the AQ/LS behavior.

    How exactly is MCH rdps damage too low compared to BRD/DNC when it actually holds the edge on them both now?

    On losing uptime: never been the core problem with melees, they were already dominating before (or competing with casters at least) even though they had uptime to keep up.

    You're right, I was only looking at ultimate and didn't thought that the savage numbers would move a lot, MCH damage is fine as it is in this case.

    I agree, yet somehow it always has been the excuse for the ranged tax.
    It somewhat made sense in Eden's gate and Eden's verse, Eden's promise was more lenient on melee uptime.
    Even P4S required to disconnect a bit from the boss hitbox.

    Today it's nearly impossible to lose uptime, even playing excessively safe.

    Well it's not fine, but neither is the damage of BRD, DNC, SMN and RDM anyway to begin with. But I guess that's another can of worms.

    The ranged tax can go rot in hell.

    Yeah the ranged tax makes no sense and doesn't help MCH is not only fighting for a ranged spot but also a pure DPS spot.
    As long as Melee funneling + DNC exists and Downtime being a huge pain for MCH, the job will have any places to shine.

    Thought my main point was to focus on how AQ/LS were such as hassle in multi target conditions.

    What's even a pure DPS spot? You mean a dance partner spot? I'm not sure to see what MCH competing for solo buffs with SAM or BLM would change tbh. Who cares who gets it, as long as somebody gets it... It's party dps.

    MCH competes well enough with BRD and DNC within their own role. The rdps it brings currently even has an edge, even at the highest levels vs DNC unicorn runs.

    wait, is MCH bad right now? my friend started leveling one last night, we got to lvl50 and he was having fun so far is at lvl 90 that bad? i imagine how strong their dmg is at low lvls drops off because SE apparently doesn't want physical ranged DPS jobs' damage to be comparable to physical melee jobs, but - i sad bc i suggested he lvl it up and if it turns out to be awful later on i'll feel gUILTY.
