    AST suggestion: Solo damage buff

    So just to get it out of the way...

    1. I understand a lot of AST's power budget is in its buffs. This is fine for 8-person content. It's just a little painful in solo content.
    2. I also understand that every solo instance and such is "technically completable" with AST (or any job). It's just that it's a bit grueling.

    I'd thus like to propose that AST receive some sort of damage buff it could use for solo play. It could be an activatable toggle ability, or a passive, I wouldn't really care. Perhaps 20~30% damage bonus. Goes away the moment a party is joined.

    So kinda like that BLU spell you get from the Courels near Old Maid's Mill? I forget the name of it, but primal instinct or something that boosts your health, healing, and damage when you're in an instance alone?

    Found it, Basic Instinct:

    Increases your movement speed by 30% and your healing and damage by 100% and removes the penalty of Mighty Guard, meaning you can have the increased defense of MG without doing reduced damage.

    Basically something like that for when you're alone in solo instances?

    Anything that improves the Astrologian's personal damage without tipping the balance would be nice. The tax is rough - 20 less potency than we had during Shadowbringers through levels 70-80 on New Game+ really makes itself felt during instanced and solo content.

    "Kinda sorta"?

    There's a similarity, but BI does a lot more than what I think is needed. I'm just looking for a nudge here, comparatively.

    Make self carding grants additional buff probably. Preferably not in any magnitude that outshines carding another competently played jobs.

    I realize in each role you have the job that does the highest damage, the job the does the moderate damage and the job with the lowest damage(usually ones that give alot of buffs and is more for party things vs solo things), really not sure why that is a thing. It reminds me how specially in stormblood days while I far loved ast more than whm there times I felt force to use whm for a specific solo instant cause the 250 malefic 3 vs the stone IV 300 was quite a difference.

    They have to address this issue for 6.25 valiant dungeons for sure. Otherwise AST will be unplayable there with the other healers dealing 40-50% more dmg in dungeons.

    yeh since i assume SE will make the mobs stun immune, that takes out WHM's advantage, something tells me that sage is gonna be the 'best' healer there unless there's some curveball that we have yet to perceive

    I'm wondering in general that party buffs are not stronger in solo or light parties. Pure DPS will always be best for solo or light parties that way.
