If you’ve been following along the dev team in general doesn’t touch endgame/hard raid content like savage either. They had a comment way back talking about how hard it was to balance because the skill of the test team of devs just isn’t that good compared to hardcore players. They are regularly surprised at how fast the player base figures out and clears content.

In fact, I seem to remember waaay back where there simply wasn’t hard raid content, or even relics. The devs added them because there was demand for it by the player base to have something to do beyond just MSQ.

Island Sanctuary is just another “thing to do” to try to appeal to other players not interested in more of the same endgame activities. Doesn’t make it amazing, but I would say I’ve spent more time doing it than I have in all savage content in my entire play history. (That is to say, none). And I’ve only ever done Excalibur as a relic during shadowbringers…. So mission success if they were trying to find a way for me to burn playtime.

also have seen a lot of people stop logging in at all in my friend list, and if those people leave, that does mean that quite a lot of people are quitting the game, either due to lack of content, or due to how boring the content is, or it's simply not worth the time anymore.

Or they take a break, play other things and wait for the next patch. Forget that one did we?

Also yeah, the amount of people leaving in someone's friend list is a sign of the amount of people leaving the game, you liking it or not doesnt mean much.

90% of my friend list still logs in daily. These statistics mean nothing. Most of the people I play with I've been playing with for years. Several of them since 2.2.

And yes, OP is right to ignore you and block you, you are not worth wasting time for, which is why I will stop as well. Even when I enjoyed the game more than I do at present I never consistently logged in on a daily basis. I'd say the same of my friends - and more often than not, a large part of it was due to having to 'stagger' content purposefully due to a lack of things to do when one is all caught up with the latest batch of MSQ's.
