Some people get way too attached to the game, beyond just simply loving it, and perceive criticism of it to be attacks against themselves. They can't understand that people criticizing the game's flaws tend to do so because they love it enough to give it some tough love when it needs it.

tbh you also have people who are attached to the game and simply point to a couple negatives that they want to see polished but still get called crap anyway. Some threads are honestly pretty tame, but then devolve because people start taking it too poorly. That, or they see a valid complaint be agreed upon too much and feel like such a thing is unacceptable.
