Completely disagree. I don't consider my time as trash. If I can tell I'm not going to care for a content or product based on what I read and see analysis of, I'm not going to waste it by playing. That's why previews, reviews and impressions exist.Good morning.
To be honest, I wish the Scions were murdered in Endwalker so we could have a fresh start in 6.1 and revisit secondary characters and flesh out their stories more. I also think Endwalker was a step down from Shadowbringers outside of the Elpis section but I also love the scenery so that might have also contributed to my liking of it. 6.1 was forgettable and 6.2 took a step in the right direction but I'm still kinda meh about it because I feel like I can predict what's going to happen already. Does that mean I'm gonna quit the game cause I take issue with the story? No, cause I don't play 14 just for the story. There are other reasons to keep my sub rolling.
Should you play something before criticizing it? Yeah. I'll agree with you there. We should. We're humans though and we tend to decide an opinion of someone or something based off external appearances before internal. Debate with me on that if you want.
The rest of your post is not anything I'll comment on as I don't have opinions about what people do with their money. Not my business nor would I want others having any sort of input on what I do with my own.
Yeah, I've talked about this before too. I even remember prior to EW there being talk of losses, and a lot of people thought it was Thancred's time too, but then we got literally every scion.. After Estinien it got kind of comical, and then they started playing the music too!

I really can’t understand who thought that story was a good idea…when Alisae started shouting (again) and crying I was just like “dude you’ll be back in the next cutscene what are you yelling about”…Yeah, I've talked about this before too. It really feels as if they must think ffxiv players are that stupid to believe they kill all the scions at once.
When Thancred was gone I actually got emotional but after that I just had a dead eyed “seriously bro” face until the end of the story.
That argument feels a lot like when my friend tried to get me into a lot of games now a days. "Oh, don't worry about the beginning, the game gets good around the 40 hour mark!", why would I slog through 40 hours of the boring part just to get to the part that might make me go "Oh cool, that's neat." lol
I'll bite.
I don't need to have leveled any of the 4 healers to level 90, or even play them at all for that matter, to know and complain that Dosis, Glare, Malefic and Broil spam is boring.
I only dont share this sentiment personally, because I just view it as downtime until its time/I need to heal. Since y'know, Im playing a Healer
Sure, we could use more dps buttons (Bring back Aero 3 Dammit) but its not their main focus, so Its not my main focus.
But I know thats not an attitude thats widely shared
It's not their main focus, but they've gotta be given something to do while the tank performs their primary function for them. A lack of DPS buttons would be less of an issue if not for the sheer lack of healing needed in anything below an EX trial. Granted, I very much love WAR's ability to bulldoze through dungeons without any care whether or not the healer or DPS are even in the same area code, but if that's gonna be happening then healers definitely need more buttons of other types to press.
Nerf Warrior...chaos ensuesIt's not their main focus, but they've gotta be given something to do while the tank performs their primary function for them. Like I think in Shadowbringers they wernt the best tank for a while...people didnt like that. So they made Warrior the best again.
And now in Endwalker its so good, people think Healers arnt needed anymore. Warrior just...ugh. XD
If they were talking about what Oda said during the stream, he said no one wanted to write the healer role quest because of the complexity and difficulty of the setting.Tbh, this person has a point. I honestly thing what they've done to Blue Mage is a travesty, Sage is only familiar to the FF by name because it doesn't play how it does in other Final Fantasies. Also, WE NEED a dedicated healer tester or player in that group. I heard that some of them didn't even want to create the healer role quest in Shadowbringers. There needs to be a balance. Yoshi P is great and all, but there are some valid points being made.
I wish I could go "It's too hard!" at work and have the bosses take over for me. Sounds like a pretty sweet job the writer has tbh. lol
