And yet, I have not posted in either of those threads. So.....

Not saying you have, but I can definitely understand why op wouldnt take anyone in defense of Square seriously, WoW went down that route, and it went bad, people kept defending over and over again the worst decisions, be it content wise, balance etc, and people are doing the exact same in this game, because of people like that, games are doomed to fail as any sort of criticism is immediately rejected by the community as bait or trolling.

If your bar for criticism is pointing out any fault within the game, which is reasonably within your prerogative to do so, then equally it is within other peoples' prerogative to have a counter criticism just simply be "Low tier post"; "Bad take".

The dude took a small excerpt from an interview and neglected to read the personal account -- Neglecting the very fact many of these developers do have full-time jobs and do test this content as part of said job, and equally have lives outside of the game, you cannot get much more low quality, really. They keyword in this excerpt was personal account

If someone tells me a game is crap and pawns that off as criticism, then people pointing out the post or perspective as being low quality then that is just a valid criticism as the former, which is really the point here.

It does matter if he plays the content he made on his personal account, because if the content itself was enjoyable, he would have done it by now.
