I'm just waiting for FFXVI's release next year so that more focus can go back onto XIV.
I don't call every topic bait. I didn't even call this one bait. But at least I reply to people who disagree with me. Aveyond just puts them on ignore. Who wants the echo chamber?
Don't think I personally called it bait, but hey, you do you with that imagination.
You're the one seemingly getting upset about people having a different perspective than you and trying to create a thinly veiled narrative about the 'Square Enix Defence Task Force' to try and ward off anything that is counter to your own perspective.
In reality I would argue that you are also the one that has a problem with other peoples' posts being subjected to criticism, it's funny how that works really.
Far be it from me to ever call myself an ardent Yoshida defender/white knight/whatever term, but I think he's been fairly up front in the past that the kind of games he likes are old school, hardcore MMOs. I don't think it's an issue that he hasn't played Island Sanctuary. In fact, I think there was an interview where he said the entire reason it became a thing was because a lot of his team enjoyed playing Harvest Moon in their free time.
I think it's certainly fair to point out how abysmal job design and battle content are becoming when it's supposed to be Yoshida's favorite thing, but I don't think the same can really be said for Island Sanctuary when it seems pretty clear it's not something he's particularly chomping at the bits about. I don't think it's entirely fair to expect him to love every aspect of the game, especially when it's unfair to expect the same of players.
When will people understand this guy is just a walking advertisement (name, signature) making low effort posts?
I don't really understand the meaning of this thread tbh. You lay out no concrete issues with Island Sanctuary(in which there are MANY), and instead link a random bait quote from an interview that might have lost context in translation.
Not much to say given that the interview excerpt above speaks for itself. Island Sanctuary, the state of other classes nowadays and the limited races throughout Shadowbringers - all subject to the whims of one individual. But not for the game's benefit.
If we're looking at it quite literally, he just states he hasn't played it on his main account. I think this is why you start to lose credibility in your appearances on the forums.
Healers are roles that change their business depending on the content and party members, so I think it can't be helped that they get bored when they have free time.
Nope, counter criticism is perfectly fine, however going agaisnt op every single time and denying their point by immediately calling it "bait", derailing and trolling their thread is not ok in any way. If you want to counter criticism, by all means.Don't think I personally called it bait, but hey, you do you with that imagination.

To be entirely fair when I see people telling me it's okay to not have any decent preview options in the character creation screen and that "people should make some effort and create alt characters for every voice they want or youtube it" yet a fantasia is sold at full price, and its not cheap, it really makes me question to what extent people are ready to defend everything Square does, and it does make me want to block these people too, because they have no common sense.I don't call every topic bait. I'll keep it brief. OP has never answered to any of my posts anyway.
I have no idea what Yoshi's schedule looks like. I have no idea what he has time to play or not. They're also wrapping XVI. Does that affect his available time? Probably, dunno. He has to test everything else being introduced to XIV in the future. To what extent, I don't know.
Here's my point: Neither do you.
I get what you're saying, but you're presenting it as if it was some kind of intentional neglect or contempt for XIV on his part. Your argument is based on a biased personal assumption as to the context of why he hasn't spent as much time in Island Sanctuary, and no solid argument is ever based on assumptions.
Do I really care? Not really. Just don't act surprised when people seem to have a hard time taking you seriously.
I legit have no idea why you're still playing, but you do you I suppose.
Cheers.
Edit: I suspect XIV's development has been bottlenecked a bit by XVI but that's just a personal suspicion. I don't intend to make any serious argument based on something I actually don't know.
