why are people calling a thread about yoshi not playing island sanctuary, citing an interview where yoshi explicitly says "I didn't play island sanctuary," bait?

Must be new around here. Yoshi can do no wrong. He could delete an entire Job and people would still defend him.

I dont think aveyond is trolling but arent we jumping a bit to conclusions when yoship just talked about his personal account? Another game I followed intensly for a long time had devs use a multitude of accounts at their disposal including one account for personal use/PR.

Pray tell what is this mysterious other content in question? Because right now there's hardly anything to do in this game besides turning in leves for gil on the off chance things improve. 10 minutes every 2 weeks. Enough for forum access, but little else.

Regardless, there has always been a clear bias against the stuff that Yoshi doesn't personally play. This extends to nearly every facet of the game, with this latest bit being the latest example of that. He wasn't into it, so he let them release an island where all you do is click things. It is not acceptable.

The dude plays a Lalafell and female Raen, you think he would've let either race remain in the state Hrothgar and Viera were in for 2 years until people started going behind his back in order to clean up the state of those two races? Or how about if his favorite class was Blue Mage instead of Black Mage, would it have been reduced to a useless minigame you can't do current content with?

Yeah, I take issue with him clearly not caring about anything that falls outside whatever it is he does in game. The so-called King of Final Fantasy so far has had quite a performance this expansion. A decade worth of goodwill done away with in 10 months.

My assumption from the current content would be savage. From what we heard over the years he seems to be a pretty skilled blackmage. The bias thing is a weird one tbh. I dont think many people believed that one announcement where they claimed that all the buffs to BLM in CC werent because it's his favorite job. But he also seems to enjoy the harder content in the game and yet the current savage tier is underwhelming.

Also what do you mean with useless minigame for bluemage? Blue carnival?

Regardless, if he is just talking about his personal account, that doesnt tell us how much of what content he has actually played.

You want to address the fact that Yoshida has let a lot of content slide under the radar at the detriment of those who would actively enjoy it? Content that he clearly doesn't play through? That's already been stated, there are a bunch of threads asking Yoshida to play Hrothgar, Viera, a Healer... But opening up the topic with just "he hasn't played it on his main account yet" isn't saying much. So he hasn't played Island Sanctuary. We don't know if the rest of the dev team likes it. Nor do we know how the man chooses to spend his personal, private time. We don't know if he intends to or not in the future.

Just saying, Aveyond, this is a bit weak.

Which is exactly why some people call aveyond a troll, because he conveniently omits anything that doesn't align with the narrative he's trying to spin. And people jump to conclusions without that extra bit of information.

Aveyond also strikes me a tad misogynistic a bit with his take on female characters and male characters. Its very biased and stupid and I wouldnt be saying all that and just strike it up as harmless opinion if it werent for the fact for how hard he pushes his own agendas and constantly treats his opinions as hard fact. Its very degrading and completely undermines the actual good points he makes.

This "mysterious content" btw is called Savage, its been a mainstay content type since ARR and can take casual groups months to clear. Its content Yoshi P is proven to play on his offtime and given his history probably the content type he enjoys most.
