They should improve or innovate the current system instead of keep adding level or new class.
I would like to see more dynamic stuff in the game.
People just come into the game and ask what is the best stat for a particular class. And, the answer is just simply "offensive properties".
I like how in ARR we can allocate our attributes based on different fights.
Most importantly, please fix tenacity and piety..... I really do not understand why SE didnt spend some time to fix that, create some stat that no one want to use at all....

This would rekindle my passion for the game. But I can see Yoshi-P losing his shit about the mere notion of breaking from the usual patch cycle. The staff would glitch out IRL if they saw themselves unable to toss in another +10 levels in an expansion.
Also the average ooga booga player would have the wrong impression that he's not making progress if he stopped seeing enemies above his level in future expansions, even though ilvl and action learning can progress independently from character level, and new jobs to be leveled would always be a thing.

Me personally? Whenever a game breaks past the 99 or 100 levels mark it's when it gives me seriously bad impressions and expectations of number porn.

They can buy themselves about 4 years if they make 7.0 have a level cap of 95 and then 8.0 with a cap of 100. All they would do is figure out how much exp/level for what 90-92, and make that the tnl for 90-91. Rinse and repeat for all other levels.

Personally, level is just a number. iLvl is increasing about 130 per expansion. While that is just a number was well, eventually we'll be creeping into iLvl of 1000+. I don't know if that will be seen as a problem or not.

they nerf all the mobs at the same time when they do a level squish and honeslty it made doing arr,hw way more easy after they did it its only a matter of if they do the number crunching right and since i would say its the jp team that will be doing it we can rely on them doing the job right

In my opinion, levels past 100 are sexy as hell, I am a fervent enjoyer of number porn and wish we had more online games with max levels in the thousands

Levelling on "many jobs" can be improved by increasing the armoury bonus so you get more EXP per job, and particularly shoot up through the low levels quicker so you have accesss to more variety of content sooner per job.

On the other hand, being max level before the MSQ is over is prevented by levelling a second job as you go, so you can spread EXP. You're in control of that.

Same lol. It's so satisfying seeing mine and my boyfriends shared Fallout 76 account sitting at level 472 atm. XD

    Wish more games did this.

It was as if when they did the stat squish, they rounded up for player stats and rounded down all mob stats. The end result is older content is easier. In the greater scheme of things, it doesn't really matter. The playerbase isn't running Coil of Bahamut synced which should be easier to do now. Older content being a little unbalanced isn't a big deal, in this player's opinion. They do a good job keeping no content balanced.

Fix when skills are actually obtained by classes and I think a level squish becomes kinda unneeded
Every single job should have a basic AoE by level 15. All of them, healers included.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

The way this game is going, I wouldn't be surprised if they do that. It would just be the further push towards homogenous jobs. Many jobs have the same feel, especially pre-50. And we got to this point because it used to be that physical jobs were kings of single target DPS and mages were kings of AOE DPS. Melee would struggle in dungeon trash pulls since their TP would limit them. Mages would do "less" DPS than many physical jobs on the bosses. While this might have been somewhat balanced in dungeon content, it wouldn't work so much in savage content (where everyone gauges balance). So, they wound up taking away TP and giving everyone AOEs - adding chain bonuses for them, etc etc.

The next obvious step is make sure everyone is granted similar abilities at similar levels. Soon DoW/DoM will be just like DoH jobs. Different skin, different abilities names, but same ability functions.
