Thread: Level squish?

    I tend to be against a "level squish"

    mainly because it feels like you suddenly didnt put in all the time it took to get to the higher level. stat squish I can understand and dont mind, but taking away levels I have earned is a harder thing to wrap my brain around. its likely just me, but I seriously hated it when WoW did it, and was the final nail in that particular coffin for me. to me, it felt like they had taken away the final indicator that I had put any time into the game at all.

    years ago I played Anarchy Online, max level was I think 220 or something, but gave you something to go for. never reached it, but I think was an incentive in some ways that a level squish promptly removes.

    My biggest fear with a level squish is it making it harder to solo older content, or it breaking it.

    they nerf all the mobs at the same time when they do a level squish and honeslty it made doing arr,hw way more easy after they did it its only a matter of if they do the number crunching right and since i would say its the jp team that will be doing it we can rely on them doing the job right

    It was as if when they did the stat squish, they rounded up for player stats and rounded down all mob stats. The end result is older content is easier. In the greater scheme of things, it doesn't really matter. The playerbase isn't running Coil of Bahamut synced which should be easier to do now. Older content being a little unbalanced isn't a big deal, in this player's opinion. They do a good job keeping no content balanced.
