Shadowbringers FATE NPC dialogue formatting

Has anyone else noticed this? It's especially prevalent in Lakeland, when you're fighting the Elven Bandits in any of the FATEs they show up in. They'll all repeat the same line of dialogue at the very end of the FATE, but it will be formatted so weirdly, with unnecessary linebreaks spreading it across multiple chat lines.

I don't have any screenshots handy, but I know for a fact it happens in the "____ Nightshade" FATE series in Lakeland.

But...what exactly do you think is wrong with it? Without a screenshot or an exact quote, and a more precise description of the contexts, how can we know it's actually a problem? We shouldn't have to go out on our own chasing down something that may not even be a problem without at least some evidence.

From memory, there are line breaks built into the text, rather than it wrapping naturally at the edges of the text log box. I don't think it's something that needs fixing as such, but it definitely looks odd.

If you want to bring up an issue, the burden is on you to show that it's an issue. Don't expect others to go out of their way to go looking for what you say is an issue when there may not be anything wrong with it at all. Show what the problem is, then we go take a look for ourselves if a clear answer isn't already apparent in the screenshots or quotes.


Your screenshots do show what is peculiar formatting. Probably unintentional? Does anyone know how it's formatted in the other languages?

The thing is, I usually expect people on the forum for a video game to be familiar with the video game in question. I'm a console player who doesn't have a Twitter account so the only way to share screenshots was to literally go out and buy a USB stick. I guess I overestimated how much a bug like this would have stuck out to people.

There are hundreds of FATES spanning across the equivalent of 6 video games. It's impossible to remember every little detail and possible bug about these things when there are so many. The onus is on you to screenshot, or take a picture.

There are thousands of fates. Hundreds in the ShB areas alone. And you expect us to know off the top of our heads? Are you trolling?

Hey what does the third npc in that fate that sometimes pops up in that one cave near Limsa say? You should know this off the top of your head right?
