Dungeon Gear Conversion Glamour Gear Requests

Hi, thought I'd make a thread for people who want to see certain existing gear only obtainable through dungeons/raids be made into dyable level 1 gear that can be worn by all job classes.

Please post your requests here for what dungeon/raid gear you'd want made into glamour and hopefully someone at SE will see and make it possible. ^^

EDIT: I EDITED THIS POST TO ALSO INCLUDE RAID GEAR INTO THE MIX FOR GLAMOUR CONVERSION! Thanks again, Raikai!

EDIT 2: ALSO INCLUDES HIGHER LEVEL CRAFTABLE GEAR THAT'S LOCKED TO A SINGLE JOB TYPE. xD

I'd rather have glamour restrictions loosened up... but if we must... I would choose not a dungeon set, but all of YoHRa's Raid collection, due to how versatile those items are.

Holy crap, that's a great idea! I completely forgot about raid gear; there are so many pieces just from the YoHRa ones alone that would make for great lvl glamour since the restrictions on them all could be circumvented that way.

Editted my OP post to include raid gear, too; thank you!

Either solution works fine for me. Although I rather have the glam restriction to just be lifted, I swear I'll be the happiest gamer in the world if I could play jobs with some of the other job sets or gear that it wasn't originally meant to.

I'm still confused as to why the Syrcus Tower gear has no dyeable variants whilst the World of Darkness sets have two.

Might as well put in one final edit to just include any and all gear that has restrictions. You see how this slippery slope is slippery? Your thread couldn't even go one post in without someone wanting to go outside of the dungeon boundaries you've placed (though I would say Alliance raids are already included in that). Now your thread has simply turned into just another 'abolish gear restrictions' support group.

Tell you what though. I will play along according to your original guidelines, as I was recently disappointed that the new Trojan gearsets have a pair of boots that are available for Striking and Scouting that are absolutely perfect for WAR. I try to look the part when I choose my glamours, and I really like the 'fur and leather' attire WAR is known for. It can also be cumbersome finding suitable tanking gear sets for a female Midlander that I don't think make them look ridiculous. Much like how players would like to see more healing sets suitable for males, I feel the same way about tanking gear for females.

    Anywho:
    Pretty please SE!

To be fair, I should have included raid gear from the start, along with job type exclusive leveling gear. There's so much gear within all three that would look great or even better on other job types, as you yourself have just made an example of.

Like, I want the whole gear set of the Dwarven Mythril armor set so I can dress my lalafell in it. I LOVE the dwarves, but i hate how the dev team completely missed the opportunity to make level 1 glmaoir gear out of their sets.

A second disappointing part about the Trojan sets is the caster and healer head gear. I don't even understand how neither version was reused for the scouting gear set. It would look awesome on it! And on top of that, none of the gear is dyable. I'm honestly getting tired of the dev team making random dungeon gear undyable. Its tiresome and furrher stifles creativity.

Also, about the getting rid of job gear restrictions thing. I really don't have much confidence in that since its been asked for repeatedly for several years and nothing has come of it. Meanwhile, in the past, the dev team made a couple of lvling gear into level 1 dyable glamour that could be worn by any job type. I really wish they would bring that way of doing things back if getting rid of job restrictions via the glamour dresser truly isn't possible. At least this way, the spaghetti code restrictions can be circumvented without any issues and we all get what we want.

Heh! It wouldn't have made a difference. When it comes to glamour, those who want restrictions gone will utilize any opportunity to voice their thoughts on the matter, so I don't actually fault you for anything. Just pointing out that one edit would lead to another, then another, then another...

There are a lot of gear sets that seem to have the roles, and sometimes even jobs mixed up. Other jobs such as GNB and DNC have a very limited selection within their own role. It can be frustrating looking for proper glamours when dealing with restrictions. I am no stranger to that at all. I also know it serves no consolation when you have your eye on a particular piece of glamour, and then told to just find something else within the gear that is available if you can't use it. Be that as it may, I still understand why these kind of decisions are made from the dev team.

Releasing lv1 glamours of the the dungeon sets is definitely a way to go about circumventing the issue with restrictions. They would just need to free up the resources to accomplish it as most of the work is already there. I don't think incentive to run dungeons would be an issue with this, but if it was they could keep the colors associated with the undyeable dungeon version exclusive to the instance.

Glamour without restrictions* is long overdue!
If you think so too, help keep the thread going!
