Personally I would do any of these 2 changes with the ARR books:

Either remove the specific fates from the books to just (do fates in specified zone) or condense the book parts to just be 1 book per stat rather than multiple books per stat
I like the latter. The books are canonically a complete waste of time because someone sold Rowena forgeries, and she told one of her associates to burn the fakes.

You find the person tasked with burning them, and she agrees to let you have them, although her friend pipes up and asks for you to go bring back some treasure from dungeons for the privilege of risking them getting caught not doing what Rowena asked.

So keep one of the fake wastes of time for each useless stat, but slim it down from TEN FRICKING BOOKS.
