They are not being punished if they are being reimbursed and let's be honest, none of them are going to quit over it anyway.

Even if they did quit, it's still a net benefit overall for the game.

The value is gil, you paid for it with gil and you would be refunded, at the end of the day you would still be able to own 2 homes (FC and personal). However 2 homes don't seem to be enough for people and beyond ego and gil sink, you can't give a legitimate reason why you need more than 2.

And lets be honest, you wouldn't quit. Although in your case it seems that too would be a net positive for the community if you did, lmao.

It is 110% inside the current rules for me to have a house on both.

I think it's more side slappingly hilarious that you are arguing for 2 houses (one personal, one FC) per server per account in a thread saying "one only, full stop".

So like "every thread that pops up about this", i guess someone needs to point this out. Again. You spent the last 2 pages arguing against people about grandfathering. Now youre referring to FCs. These are two entirely different things. There is no FC on any server with a grandfathered house, because no FC on any server has 2 houses. The game sees that ward(whichever one you noticed) as multiple different FCs, with multiple different names and multiple different characters in them. Because thats what they are. FCs arent required to have unique tags. And no, im not saying i believe they are all owned by different people. Im telling you what the game sees. Some of these are mega-FCs that split into smaller pieces to get more resources, others are small FCs/individuals doing the same thing, and some percentage of them are RMT people waiting for a sale. For about 2 weeks they tried to enforce 1 FC house per account. It caused issues, and was hot-fixed out. We dont know if they are still trying to resolve those issues, or if they have given up - they dont often answer direct detailed questions about this sort of thing.

Players owning more then 1 PERSONAL house is what most of the last couple pages were arguing about. These are people who legally bought more then one house back before the housing change about 4 years ago made buying more impossible. This number is well below 1% across all servers(in fact is 0% on servers that went online after the change went in) and can never go up(in fact it is going down on its own ever so slowly). These are the people most of us arguing would say shouldnt be punished. They did nothing wrong, and not only would taking away their extra houses fix nothing(the server with the MOST of these has less then 75, out of a total of 7200 house plots currently in game) but it sets a dangerous precedent. If SE goes back on its word to retroactively enforce the new housing rule more then 4 years after it was put in and take things away from players who earned them in game without cheating, then they can no longer be trusted to honor anything else they say. Why not take away exclusive PvP rewards from earlier seasons? Or take away the special items and status that Legacy players have? THIS is what we argue against. And no, before you accuse me of anything i do not own 2+ houses. I have only ever had 1. I had the chance to buy more, but i didnt enjoy decorating enough to want a 2nd house to play in.

So leave grandfathering alone. If you want to fix the shell FC issue, go for it. While youre at it, add instanced housing options so everyone who wants a house can get one. Or take care of the freaking bot problem. You know, real issues.

They need to enforce the ToS where it say that gameplay may change over time, same as experience and requirements, so it get fair for all.

Except it really is okay by the rules of the game.

Square Enix and the development team set the rules. Not you nor any other player else in the forums.

If you want to say that you think SE should change the rules, then do that. Do not claim that the rules are anything other than they are or that other players are "bad" for staying within the rules.

As for enforcing the TOS, they do. Just because it makes allowances for the game to change over time doesn't mean they must change the game to your liking.

As a side note, I'm inclined to agree to that it should be one house per player per service account period until SE gets their act together and fixes the supply issue. But I'm not going to get on the case of those who are playing within the rules. I'm going to direct my attention to the source of those rules - Square Enix.
