So, I've learned in trying to use the callback campaign that the website is rather scuffed in regards to getting a launcher download.

It's trying to direct individuals to the free trial where if you grab that launcher. It doesn't actually work with active service accounts, or those that are unsubscribed. What you have to do is go to the XIV homepage, then scroll 'all' the way to the bottom, below all the expansions and look in that little grey box with the various links to Facebook, twitter, YouTube, Instagram and twitch. From there. there's a TINY grey button nestled in there that you then click to be directed to a download page. and then you click your platform and 'that' launcher is what will work with the callback system.

Now I don't mean to be mean about it, but that's a horrible design choice. The downloads should be on the same page, as sometimes after an upgrade or factory reset. players need to download a fresh client. Returner or no. It shouldn't be too hard to make a single page for all the client downloads no? or at the very least make the selection easier to find rather than something that admittedly caused enough frustration to make my friend almost sign off on coming back.

the following link is a screenshot of just how small the button is. taken from a cellphone so it can be seen just how huge a difference it is to find something that should be easily accessible for everyone.
