(NO SPOILERS IF POSSIBLE) What jobs fit Endwalker?

So, small little idea I got from Reddit, of all sites; I've decided to try and level a job that fits thematically with each expansion in some way. I've already got jobs for most expansions:

- ARR: Bard - It's my first job, and fits with Gridania.

- HW: Dark Knight - I couldn't be the only person that wasn't a fan of Thorden, right?

- SB: Samurai - 玉砕

- SHB: Reaper - Aside from being kinda similar to Dark Knight, it also actually fits the Nier content rather well.

Now, I need to figure out which job to level for Endwalker. I already got spoiled on some parts, admittedly; I know we go to the moon at one point, obviously, I know about us fighting two certain primals - thanks YouTube - and I keep hearing about this place called Ultima Thule, though in the interest of avoiding spoilers I have zero idea what or where it is.

I already know of a few jobs that fit END in some way - Paladin is the poster job, Reaper is used by Zenos, and Sage is from Sharlayan. However, I've already got a friend that's tanking for our group, I'm a frankly terrible healer, and I was wanting to try out a different job than simply using Reaper - which I do love, admittedly - for another expansion.

So, what other jobs do you guys think fit the lore and story of Endwalker? I've looked around on Reddit, saw some people comment that Monk, Summoner, and Dragoon fit the best. Again, I don't know why, no spoilers; I'm looking forward to playing through the story myself.

Reaper has a few job specific dialogue options post-MSQ which definitely make the experience worth it. I personally feel like it's the best value for this expansion. There's also a particular song at a climactic moment where the job animation style syncs up very elegantly with the lyrics. On a scale from one to Soot Black, I'll give it a Jet Black.

You could always go DRK for Shadowbringers instead, if you want to break things up. I personally thought it was an excellent choice for that expansion.

I wonder if Summoner might be an interesting choice for something like this. I'm trying to avoid Reaper and Sage specifically because they're introduced in EW, so they seem too "convenient" or obvious a choice. Summoner is matched with Scholar, with has ties to Sharlayan, and also is the closest thing we have to present-day "creation" magic (even if it's not quite that), which presents a good tie-in to the Ancients. I also don't think there's any Summoner amongst our adventuring Scions, so it would be a sensible class for the WoL to use as it brings something unique to the group.

If you're okay repeating I really think Bard is the perfect choice for Endwalker. It's hard to say why without spoilers, but songs and the power of emotions (which BRD enhances with their music if I remember the ARR questline correctly) are themes in the latter half of EW.
As a bonus it lets your character come full circle since that's what you started as too.

Not sure if spoiler and MAYBE I didn't understand the quests perfectly, but I felt DRK was also, though in an odd way. Like, consider your inner self talking through you to others, but also manifesting as a healer to support you and even a short-term second being to fight at your side. It's more subtle and almost like the subconscious mind doing it, but it strikes me as very similar to Creation Magic since it's technically the WoL creating something out of nothing. There's a part of my mind that believes to this day the Job stone, sword, and even the knight you get it from were all generated through the WoL's latent Creation Magic.

...though perhaps a more innocuous explanation was given for all of that which I just missed.

I'd also love a War of the Magi expansion to really throw WHM, BLM, SCH, and even RDM a solid bone. A Merycidia themed expansion could get some interesting SMN lore, especially if there was Allegan lore attached from the war.

While you certainly don't have to do Endwalker as it, I would recommend doing Dancer's questline beforehand; it drops some lore that's worth having on hand, even if the game never changes dialog if you do it.

Surprisingly, anything and everything fits Endwalker for the battle class. I could go into specifics for each one, but it pretty much goes heavily into spoilers with their questlines and the EW story.
