Since when was "immersion breaking" ever the excuse for not setting specific mount music? My understanding is that it has always been about how many songs they can store in the mount music system, which may have a hard cap over the life of the game so they tend to be frugal about how many they add.

Eh, I heard second hand years ago. Though that makes more sense with the way they handle housing and glamour.

Would it be possible to create a new system that functions like a mobile orcastraction system, or would it just add extra strain to the game's spaghetti code? :<

The Idea of Egi glam is long dead, they have multiple versions of them in game you can fight, i remember a smn fight against sephirot egis but even that was too much effort to add them as a glamour. I was really hoping that Carbuncle was Savage mount but we got a reskin of the O4s snake and the Firebird ... which is easier and it kinda makes sense as you see it in P8s, but feels very underwhelming.

So yea ... in best case you see it in Mogstation because SE loves their carbuncle merch.

Haven't seen either of those mounts yet, but I'm assuming its because Hesphestios uses them when we fight him in Abyssos 8th Circle.

True... Had no choice but to buy the carbuncle mounts. I'd much rather have things like those in game as rewards. :<

It's kind of annoying that we got an Alte-Roite/Phoenix/Yol reskin for the savage mount instead of Proto-Carbuncle... I would have preferred that SO much better. Fingers crossed for next tier...
