To be fair, if people took IS even more casually then it might as well be a phone game. The other poster was right, SE should have cut out IS, bolted it to the companion app they are trying to push, and go "Hey, for 5 dollars a month you can speed up your building/gathering times. You won't lose anything if you don't opt in but don't you want to want those companion app exclusive mounts faster? :^)"

yeah such a good idea to not have anything new form of content ever in this game. Lets just disencourage that ickiness and only want for the same old crap every patch.

IS is far from perfect but as I keep saying time and time again, it has potential to be built into something better. How about we stop saying crap like "SE shouldve cut of x and y" no...they should not when it comes to content. We want them to improve on it to be something thats actually worthwhile.

With the overwhelming negative feedback towards the IS, that would be a pretty boneheaded move on their part.

Not really why would they allow people to accrue currency and then be able to buy all the new rewards when the new content arrives. This isn't new it's something they do all the time with crafting and gathering scrips, tomestones and more.

And the feedback is far from overwhelmingly negative. That is certainly standard fare from a certain group of forum posters however who think their opinions represent the community at large.

Honestly, they don't incentivise feeding the animals enough for me to bother doing it even while I'm actively engaging with the sanctuary. The only EXP comes from collecting leavings, and you still get that (and more items than you can consume in a day of crafting) without feeding them anything. Plus their mood sinks so quickly that it feels like a pointless chore to even try to keep them happy.

Even with people only speaking for themselves, it seems there are more people unhappy with it and along the same lines of aesthetics. I haven't been reading beyond here, but I don't think it's purely a case of one person assuming everyone shares their opinion.

I'm not saying that some are not happy with the content. It just gets old having to read people using their personal opinions and those of some forum posters as being representative of the community as a whole. Overwhelming is a bit much sorry.
