I don't find it weird but long distance is tough, my husband and I only lived about three and a half hours from each other when we were dating and that wasn't easy. Having things in common is important, though, so meeting through a shared hobby makes a lot of sense.

Sorry but "5 years is a long time to not get married already" is a personal opinion and not a mature one. 5+ years is a totally normal amount of time to get to know someone deeply enough to commit to them for life.

"Marry someone in 6 months or give up" is a very 2022 and immature way to view things and a recipe for having lots of divorces, housing complications, and general life problems.

5 yrs to get married is an exceedingly long time to wait to get married, even by modern standards; it's not a 2022 thing to say. Its what people have been traditionally doing for hundreds of yrs. People are usually married by 23-25. My great grandparents and community members do it in a few weeks to months it my grandparents and parents have weeks to months as well. It doesn't take 5 yrs to know anyone, especially if you are screwing them and yes, if you're entering an age of geriatric pregnancy where you are ageing and are likely to experience problems, why would men go for you when they can get younger women. You are no longer as good-looking or fertile, but if the man gets free sex, he can keep you on the side and find a better woman.

Also, just because YOU may have had men/women in your life leave you for someone younger or been told by others that they will (or if you have done it to someone else in which case that's a whole other kind of gross) doesn't mean EVERYONE does/that it's the majority that does. I have a very comfortable & healthy relationship where my partner gives me the room to completely be myself and loves me unconditionally. Even when I'm looking like complete trash, he's there to tell me I'm beautiful. When things go wrong, we work them out together and come out better for it.

Sorry that this type of relationship is foreign to you. Should probably work on correcting that instead of making assumptions about my sex life/the state of my reproductive organs on an FF forum.
