Yeah, I don't really see the problem with adding it in even as some sort of glamour for players. They could possibly refer to it as a "disguise" or something, for players, at least.

This would be the best option. Although admittedly there will probably be more complaints about how people can't customize their 3rd eyes considering how many RP profiles there are that insinuate that the character is of Garlean relation.

Possible but sticking to the topic, they don't have the Garlean third eye(and they can't since only purebloods have that, which you would know if you remembered Arenvald's back story).

Severa has a third eye, but hers is blackened, rather than the usual gray-white.

In this case she's the exception, rather than the rule, assuming she even is an exception.

Hers is never really discussed if I remember right. For all we know it could be a gem stuck up there or something else.

What does it matter if it offers "specific" examples or not? It's an in-game textual basis for it. We only meet a tiny subset of the Garlean pureblood population, so if it is a trait that is rare in their populace, it stands to reason it'd be exceedingly improbable to run into it; granted, much of their population is sadly dead now. The source he offered would be a sufficient lore basis for an already exceedingly rarefied character to have such an origin story and still use aether.

What examples of male Viera outside of their jungles were there in SB/SHB? Er... around a grand total of zero. Now they're all over insular Sharlayan.
